I love love this set Warm Hearts, by Paper Smooches!  When I saw that snowman, I fell in love!  I also used a little WPlus9 in the background. THIS snowflake set is a MUST have.  Folk Art Flurries is adorable for sure!

Ho Ho Ho...

It's time for another CAS(E) this Sketch!  First off, I'll share my card...

IMG_8810

I took this week's sketch and turned it on its side.  I added the Ho Ho Ho from the most adorable Kelley Purkey set, along with the holly too.  I used a SU embossing folder for the background and a piece of Pure Poppy striped paper for the background.  Super simple!

Here is this week's sketch...

I can't wait to see all the other DT creations.  Check them out HERE and link up your card too!  I hope you get to play along!

Card Recipe...

Today the DT girls at Clear and Simple Stamps are here today with a little Group Project.  The challenge was to make a card from a recipe.

The Card Recipe is:
1 Button
1 Image
2 Dies / Die Cuts
1 Sentiment

Here is my card...

IMG_8829_edited-1

I kept it nice and simple with:

1 Button

I also want to point out one new thing in this card.  Do you see that red cardstock?  It is my NEW FAVORITE!  It is called Rouge Ruffles.  It's the most awesome red...kinda like tomatoy red?  FAB!! I've been wanting a new shade of red for a long time!  I scored the background in 1/2" increments with my Scor-Pal for that little something it needed.

Check out what other gals have up their sleeve today....

Thanks for stopping in!

Retro Sketches

Today's sketch comes from a gorgeous CAS Kasia card.  All of her cards are gorgeous aren't they?  :)  Here is my take...

IMG_8803

If you saw yesterday's post, you know I have been playing with the Cameo.  I thought I would do something similar for today's sketch.  This time I just made the card front with 2 rectangles and then enough space in the middle for the sentiment.

I used the most adorable set of stamps from Kelley Purkey's new line called Joy and the little piece of grid paper is from another set called Autumn.  I got them both at Simon Says Stamps.  LOVE!  (And it looks like my sentiment is crooked...hate it when that happens!) :)

IMG_8806

I found a little tree brad from my scrapbooking stash (from prob 10 years ago)...I knew I held on to some of that stuff for a reason!  LOL!

Here is today's sketch...

Go check out what Arielle and Kasia have for you today and then link up your own card over at Retro Sketches! Thanks for coming by today!

Thank you...

I'm here today with a card for no reason.  lol!  Just a card.  I made this cut on my Cameo yesterday with a leaf branch I found in the Silhouette store.  I drew lines around to make the window and then cut out the whole card front around that and it came out like this...

IMG_8784

On the card base behind, I added in some Fired Brick and Gathered Twig distress inks and then stamped some PTI Text Styles on top of that.  A sentiment and some bling...and done!

Hope everyone is doing well.  I am in shock that we are almost to Thanksgiving.  I am already buying Christmas decorations.  My tree is going up tonight....is that crazy?  It's my most favorite holiday so I can't help myself.  I bought some burlap and red mesh for the tree and I am going to make some monogramed ornaments too.  Can't wait!

Hope you have a fab Friday!  Thanks for looking today!

CAS(E) this Sketch...

Hey there!  It's time for another CAS(E) this Sketch.  Here is my very CAS card...

IMG_8765

I used Washi tape to make the background over the top of some Linen Impression.  Then I added in a piece of card stock with a simple sentiment in Amuse Slate ink.  LOVE that color!

Here is this week's sketch....

Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Thanks for stopping in today!

PS-Wida that "hello" stamp is from Michael's dollar bin.  I got it years ago!  Fun huh?

A gift for you and something new...

**Scroll down to see my first post.  It's a blog hop with Tami Mayberry!**

Happy Tuesday!  It's a fun day over at Clear and Simple Stamps with something new to share and lots of fun news! The fun news?  A whole new color makeover and the addition of coordinating gift wrap!  Yes!! Gift wrap!  We each got to pick a color and make a little gift set.  Here is what I whipped up...

IMG_8745

I chose my favorite color...Red, of course.  The name of this color?  Dare to be Diva Red!  Love it!  I made my own wrapping paper by stamping the new Fruits of the Spirit stamp, in white ink.

IMG_8752_edited-1

I wrapped up this little gift and then topped it off with some white twine and a fun little flower, using the leaves from the Build-A-Flower die.

IMG_8754_edited-1

I made a little matching card using the same Fruits of the Spirit stamp set, and added a little apple from Perfect Harvest.  You can see the matching red envelope here...

IMG_8746_edited-1

I added another little pear to the envelope in white ink to tie in the whole fruit theme.  This envelope is an A4 size and they also come in A2.  (With envie liner dies too!!)

Here is a little more about the color makeover from CSS...

Clear and Simple Stamps has made the choice to "go green" and revitalize the CSS current color line. You will see a few new colors and some vintage colors no longer being offered, in an effort to provide product made from renewable contents. All of the color coordinated products are made in the USA. The paper comes from mills that practice responsible, sustainable forestry while manufacturing the highest quality paper products on the market. These mills are powered by renewable energy sources, and our paper products are made of 100% recycled content with 30% PCW (post-consumer waste). We are very pleased to announce our commitment to incorporate environmental practices into our daily crafting.

Click HERE to download this Color Matrix with all the information regarding the new colors and several Q&A's...lots of good information!

All the other girls have picked colors of their own and I know they have fun stuff to see!  Go check them out...

IMG_8699

I used Tami's set, Simple Snowflakes for both cards.  The first one, I masked off a circle, stamped the snowflakes in white and then sponged white around the edge.  I added a sentiment, a bow and some white pearls to the middle of the snowflakes.

IMG_8700

For this card, I used a trio circle die and then stamped the images in the centers.  I embossed the card front and the attached it with foam tape.
