Ticket Thanks...

Hey there! Stopping in today with a card I made using one of the new Simon Says dies.  It's called Thank You Ticket and it is super fun!

First, I stamped the background using the SSS Wide Stripes Background stamp and some SSS Fog ink.  Then I layered up with a couple AC patterned paper scraps and some gold card stock.  I die cut the thank you out of white Neenah and then stapled on to the card front.  Super simple!

I am off to do some shopping with a friend today!  We've had lots of stress going on around here lately and I am so happy to have a day to just hang out!  Thanks so much for coming by today!  Hope you are all doing well!  Hugs!

CC Challenge-Burlap Banner...

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!
Burlap Banner

We have a new sponsor, The Twinery, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Burlap Banner!  A randomly selected participant in the Burlap Banner challenge will receive a fabulous bundle from The Twinery, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I made a fun little card today, using the 5 different colors of twine.  I used a ruler and drew straight pencil lines across the face of the card. Using my Crop-O-Dile, I cut small half circles out at each pencil line on both sides.  I wrapped the twine around the card front and secured it inside with Washi tape.  I added in a leaf die cut and then stamped the sentiment from Papertrey's set called Bountiful Banners.

You can see all of the Twinery's gorgeous twine by clicking HERE.

The Twinery Designers, our Guest Designer and the Curtain Call Crew have lots of additional inspiration for you today!  Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs!

PTI Release in Review...

So, today's the day!  Have you been loving everything that you've seen so far?  I have loved the fun stamps and dies in this Papertrey Release.  I have several things to share today with lots of pictures.  Remember, everything will be available tonight at 10pm EST in the Papertrey Ink store.

First up is a little snowman stitching project....

I used the new Snow man stitching dies to make this fun little wall hanging/gift.  I layered it all up and stitched the snowman onto the fabric background.  I added in a couple extra stitches to make some snowflakes.  This project was inspired by a project on flickr you can see HERE.

I added in a bow and a tag, using sentiments from the new Snow Globe Additions.

Birthday Classics: November is a fun one this month.  I do love the font...

I stamped the tiny banner in the background to give the allusion it was a long banner.  I added in the sentiment on top, on a white square with just a tad of true black peaking out for some contrast.

The next stamp set is called Jolly Holiday.  I love all the funs images in the set, along with some fun sentiments.

I stamped the trees along in the bottom, added in a sentiment on top and then gave each tree a Lemon Tart star.  I added in a strip of red foil card stock along the bottom for a pop of color.

This next card I made with my friend Merry in mind!  I have friends and family who celebrate Hanukkah so I am happy to have this set and make some cards for them.  I love the candles that come separate so you can make your own designs.  I layered this sentiment onto the card base with a strip of black showing through and then added Happy Hanukkah from the new Keep it Simple: Hanukkah.

Lastly, I have a tag using the new Painted Poinsettias.

I stamped the flower and then the second image in scarlet jewell.  Instead of adding in the 3rd image, I used Copics to do a little shading.  I added in the flowers and some pearls for the flower center.

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  I hope you have enjoyed my release projects.  Here is a list of more to check out....

Homemade Holiday Gifts and Tags...

Welcome to another day of sneaks for the Papertrey Ink October Release.  Today we are showcasing several different ways to use holiday gifts and tags.  I have lots of pictures, so I hope you hang in there with me!  :)

This first project is a little Carmel Apple gift package inspired by THIS jar gift on Pinterest.

First, I made up some Salted Carmel sauce and added it to this 8 oz jar.  I stamped this adorable frame in red onto the die cut sticker.  Then I added in the date stamp in the center in black ink.

The tag is actually made up of 4 tags.  I wanted to give it a layered look with several things to look at.  The top tag is a kraft banner die cut, where I stamped the mistletoe and berries on the end, is also the main sentiment.  The "may your merry be very!" is from the same Merry Kiss-Mas set as the Mistletoe.  The Merry Christmas is from the new Snow Globe Additions.

I die cut and stamped the mistletoe next and made a tag out of it as well.  The gingham banner in the Canned set is another tag in the stack.  And then last is the hexagon tag, also from the Canned set.  I stamped the frame in black and then added in the "home made" in the center.

Another fun addition in the Canned set is the From the Kitchen of: stamp.  So cut for the back of the tag.

The next project is a little cross stitched jar bonnet on top of a little fall treat.

I used some iron-on interfacing on the back of some green checkered fabric and I was able to cut out the bonnet perfectly with the die.  I stamped the Cross Stitched images on the top of the fabric to form the L.  I put the fabric in an embroidery hoop and stitched it up with some orange floss.

Then I added in a tag and some fall decorations to the jar.  The tag is made using the Cross Stitched stamp set as well, with a fun little sentiment to finish it off.

Lastly, I have a little treat box using the new Vintage Favor It Treat box die and the new coordinating stamp set called Just a little something.

I made this into a Valentines day theme.  I added in a watercolored frame and then added in a little banner and a sweet sentiment.

The fun little zipper die makes for a fun way to get the treat out of the box....

So this is it for today!  I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I can't wait to hear what you think.

Check out the rest of the DT for more Holiday gifts!

Introducing Songbirds...

Hey there!  Welcome to the PTI Group Post for the October release.  I am excited to share today's cards with you! The new set from Papertrey Ink is called Songbirds is so pretty and the dies that go with it?  Amazing!

Here is my first card...

The set comes with several different sentiments for different occasions.  For this card, I used the Christmas music and the coordinating die.  I added in the stitched leaves in the backgournd and then layered up the songbird, the back layer in yellow and then paper piecing the green leaves on both birds.  I added in an aqua enamel dot for some more color.

You can see in the above photo, I attached the musical banner by adhering the ends so there would be a little division on the card.  The tag is made by laying the music in the background and then adding some more leaves and popping up the bird on foam tape.

This last card is super CAS and showcases the bird stamps in the set....

Each color you see is an additional stamp to fill in with the different colors.  I LOVE that!  These birds are so easy to stamp and decorate! I filled in the eyes with some black liquid enamel dots.  I attached them to the card with foam tape, after stamping the music line in black at the base of the card.  I love this "count your blessings" stamp.  The music just flows and works so well as a sentiment.

The other girls have more Songbirds to share!  Click on the links below to check them out...
